About Stephanie
Raised in London, Ontario, Stephanie developed an early appreciation for hard work, service and community, inspired by her parents and especially her grandmother, who raised seven children on the family farm. Following in her father's footsteps, she became a Chartered Professional Accountant and built a 25-year career in finance, serving as Partner at Ernst & Young and Senior Vice President at Scotiabank before joining the Board of the Bank of Canada.
Throughout her career, Stephanie continued giving back, from serving on the Kidney Foundation's board to mentoring women in business. That commitment ultimately led her to leave Bay Street for public service. Elected as MPP for Don Valley West in 2022, she also serves as Ontario Liberal Deputy House Leader and Finance Critic.

MPP Karen McCrimmon
“I have been sitting in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario with MPP Stephanie Bowman since 2023. She has earned the respect of members from all parties. She sets a daily example of competence, thoughtfulness, integrity and determination. Her financial credentials and experience only add to her credibility. She knows that the strength of any organization is the team itself, as well as the team's willingness to evolve and to change to meet the demands of the time. She is the leader the OLP needs right now.”

MPP Mary-Margaret McMahon

With her vast expertise in the financial world and strong work ethic, Stephanie is perfectly positioned to successfully lead the Ontario Liberal Party, face Doug Ford head on, and resiliently build our province for the future!”

MPP Rob Cerjanec
“At a time when families are falling further behind and Doug Ford's Conservative government is wasting more money than ever before, MPP Stephanie Bowman has the business acumen and knowledge of Ontario's finances to create the economic growth we need to build a modern economy that will ensure health care, education, and the services we rely on will give every Ontarian the opportunity to succeed.”

Why I'm running
“Since being elected in 2022, I've heard the same concern across Ontario: people are working hard and still feel left behind by their government. Ontario has the resources to succeed. What it lacks is responsible leadership, sound decision-making and a government focused on the people it serves.
I spent my career leading complex organizations, and I'm ready to put that experience to work for our party and our province. But first, we must build a new foundation for the Ontario Liberal Party - one that empowers members and gives riding associations the resources and support they need to win, wherever they are.
Together, we can build a party that invests in its people, competes everywhere and is ready for what comes next.”
